Thorough Examination L.O.L.E.R

LOLER is an abbreviation of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998

A Thorough Examination is required under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER). A Thorough Examination is required for lifting equipment used for work purposes.

The LOLER legislation was put in place to prevent risk and/or serious accident that can occur to faulty equipment.

A Thorough Examination is a legal requirement for all operators of fork lift truck regardless if the equipment Is Hired, Leased or Owned.

What is a Thorough Examination?

A Thorough Examination is a detailed inspection for all the safety related parts of fork lift truck, conducted at least every 12 months or sooner in some cases. The Thorough Examination is likened to the MOT system for motor vehicles.
